thank you for pointing out this simple fact. i have been told multiple today by my male colleagues at the school of public health i attend that i need to remain focused on the “bigger picture”, essentially that pointing the bill gross shortcomings isn’t “getting on board” with democrats (which as a far-left socialist doesn’t really persuade me). i was even told that the executive order and nelson amendment were “necessary sacrifices” now in order to ensure judicial appointments later. so thank you for echoing what i’ve been feeling all morning, and helping me feel like less of a radical leftist pariah.

THE current “health care” bill is a boon to the already corrupt American Insurance Industry! It guarantees it additional billions of dollars in profits, if ratified and signed into law! If the bill fails, the lucrative American Insurance Industry maintains the status quo and does business as usual. It is a win/win situation for the American Insurance Companies!
Short falls: the current bill does not address DENTIAL INSURANCE needs! It does not address EYECARE INSURANCE needs! Why? That could lesson profits!
What the American nation needs is to do is extend the existing “Medicare” insurance to all Americans! No need for congress to pretend to have to re-invent the wheel here!

Republicans want want failure, they want things like the insurance companies to continue to rake in billions and to keep the unwealthy at a disadvantage. The infrastructures portion was what we needed to get us going in advancing our country to come into the present but the old conservatives who want to go back to the “simpler times” (ie. slavery, and racial discrimination via lower education). Our country and everyday people need help due to bad financial policy and they are just not getting it. Who is getting it? Big business. God bless America.
